Eucharist is the sacrament in which Christ's Last Supper is commemorated by the consecration of bread and wine.
It is also known as Holy Communion or Lord's Supper. According to the Bible, Jesus gave his disciples bread with the words, “This is my body,” and wine with the words, “This is my blood”
“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.”
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”
By receiving the spiritual flesh and blood, Christ lives in us and us in him.
